Any fee is discussed on your discovery call, before any work begins.

Absolutely. Short flights and ferries connect Dublin and Belfast with Edinburgh, London, and Wales, and a British Isles cruise links them all without repacking. Golfers can pair Ireland’s famous links courses with Scotland’s, including on golf-themed cruises. Darcy will also walk you through entry requirements, such as the UK’s Electronic Travel Authorisation for Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

Many travelers love the freedom of a self-drive trip, but Ireland means driving on the left, often on narrow country roads, and automatic cars cost more and should be booked early. A private driver-guide lets everyone enjoy the scenery, the stories, and the pub stops. Darcy can plan either, or a mix of both.

Seven to ten days is ideal for a first trip, such as Dublin plus the west coast with Galway, the Cliffs of Moher, and the Ring of Kerry. With twelve to fourteen days, you can add Northern Ireland and the Giant’s Causeway, continue on to Scotland or England, or simply slow down in the countryside.

May through September brings the mildest weather and longest days, with July and August the busiest. May, June, and September are a lovely balance of good weather and fewer crowds. Ireland’s weather changes quickly in any season, so pack layers and a rain jacket.

For summer travel, nine to twelve months ahead is best. Castle hotels, private driver-guides, small-group tours, golf tee times, and British Isles cruises often sell out first.
